Christmas of 2008, my husband purchased a gift certificate for personal training for me  with Melissa Card.  I didn't start to use it until May of 2009.  Since May I have lost 46 pounds and many inches while losing 3 pant sizes.  Even though I am active and teach aerobic classes I still needed someone to help me to train correctly.  Melissa is a wonderful trainer and shows me how to train effectively.  Since then I have gone onto getting my personal training certificate since I LOVE working with people.  I still continue to train with Melissa because she watches out for me and makes me do what I am supposed to do and that I don't slack off.  I feel soooo much better and my game plan is to lose another 12 lbs.  
So thanks to my husband and Melissa I have achieved a huge goal in my life!

Amazing is the work I often use when describing my progress while working with Darlene Chilcutt.  I am a retired teacher who has had heart When I came to Darlene, I was the proverbial physical train wreck.  I couldn't move my arms above shoulder height, walking was a painful challenge, and my posture was that of a much older person.  
Now, just six months later, I can move!  My arms can go flying above my head.  I enjoy walking with grace and dignity - very little pain.  Freedom!  I'm engaging in a lot of activities now that would have been impossible BD (before Darlene).
Darlene is a caring encourager.  She begins working with you where you are and builds you up from there, both physically and emotionally.  Never belittling or demeaning, she finds many positive things to say about your progress, and says them often
Whether you want to "train", lose weight, or just move more freely, I would highly recommend that you check in with Darlene.

When I first signed up at TAC, I was very overweight, tired, and generally felt bad.  When I ran into Darlene, she explained about personal training.  I was reluctant at first and just kinda sat around for the next couple of months.  I exercised off and on (more off than on).  Then at the end of June when my husband had to start eating better for health reasons, we both decided to take this very seriously.  If we wanted to live past 50 then we needed to do something RIGHT NOW!

Darlene had been calling me every other week to see how I was doing and I finally scheduled a session with her.  Since July she has helped me change my life!!!  I have lost over 40 pounds and feel great!  With her help and guidance I am a better wife, mother, friend, and all around better person.  She is always available for questions and very encouraging every time I see her.  Even if we aren't doing a training session she makes sure and says hello and makes sure I am doing good.

She has worked with me and shown me that even though I still have a ways to go, that as long as I keep going I will achieve my weight goals.  Not only do I have a trainer I have a great friend too!

I have always been athletic, and played sports my entire life.  After I graduated college in 2008, I desperately missed the discipline and self improvement that is gained through organized sports.  Upon joining Trenton Athletic Club, I was set up with Darlene.  I thought I would give her a try, but was skeptical after having two other trainers at different gyms that just did not have the education or experience that I feel is required.  Also, I enjoy exercise and am not trying to lose any weight, so I did not feel that a trainer would really be necessary.  Since the first day I trained with her, I have gone to her weekly.  She has brought the discipline back into my routine that  I have always gained from sports.  She teaches me about the exercise that I am doing as well as the body part that I am exercising. 
She is extremely amiable, and always remembers what is going on in my life, both physically and personally.  She is extremely accomplished, being one of only a handful of trainers in the state who has earned an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist Certification.  I would recommend
Darlene to anybody who is interested in improving their workout regimen, whether you are trying to lose weight or just trying to get motivated.
